The Metal

Tungsten carbide is the hardest wedding-band metal made - roughly 4× harder than titanium and 10× harder than 18k gold. That's not marketing language; it's a measurable Mohs hardness of 8.5-9. In practical terms: this band will not scratch from keys, tools, gym equipment, or daily contact with desks, steering wheels, or phone cases. It will look the same in five years as it looks the day you open the box.

The black tone is a PVD (physical vapor deposition) finish - bonded to the tungsten core at the molecular level, not a paint or plating. It won't peel, strip, or wear through. The metal is also fully hypoallergenic and nickel-free, which matters if your skin reacts to other rings. The domed profile rounds off the outer band edge to edge, which makes the ring read larger than its 8mm width and lets the hammered texture catch light across a curved surface.

The Antiqued Hammered Finish

The HEXANITE's surface is hand-hammered after the band is formed, then the facets are antiqued - the raised edges stay dark while the recessed valleys pick up subtle highlights, giving the ring a dimensional, tactile look that changes in every light. Each facet is struck individually; no two rings hammer-pattern exactly alike.

The antique blackening is a controlled oxidation of the PVD surface, stabilized and sealed - it holds its contrast indefinitely under normal conditions.
