Both tones on the HILVEN are PVD (physical vapor deposition) finishes bonded to the tungsten core at the molecular level - not paint or plating. Neither can peel, strip, or wear through. The metal is fully hypoallergenic and nickel-free. The brushed rose-gold-tone body carries a fine matte grain; the polished black trapezoids are mirror-polished and sit flush with the surrounding surface.
