The Metal

Tungsten carbide is the hardest wedding-band metal made - roughly 4× harder than titanium and 10× harder than 18k gold. That's not marketing language; it's a measurable Mohs hardness of 8.5-9. In practical terms: the LUSTERS will not scratch from keys, tools, gym equipment, or daily contact with desks, steering wheels, or phone cases. It will look the same in five years as it looks the day you open the box.

The black tone isn't paint or coating. It's a physical-vapor-deposited (PVD) black finish bonded to the tungsten at the molecular level - the same process used on high-end watch bezels. It won't peel, strip, or wear through. The metal is also fully hypoallergenic and nickel-free, which matters if your skin reacts to other rings.

The Purple Tiger Cowrie Shell Inlay

The inlay down the center of the LUSTERS is real purple tiger cowrie shell - a natural sea shell (Cypraea tigris) with a deep purple-brown base crossed by pale striping and occasional spotted patterns, hand-selected for color and grain. Because it's real shell, every inlay is unique: no two rings share the same pattern. We cut, shape, and inlay each shell piece individually into the band channel, then seal it under a clear hard resin that matches the ring's outer surface profile.

The resin is the same UV-stable, chemically inert clearcoat used on automotive finishes - scratch-resistant enough to live on the outside of a daily-wear ring, and it locks the shell in permanently. The shell itself won't fade under resin; what you see today is what the ring will look like in ten years.
