Ceramic is a high-tech engineered material. It's harder than steel, lighter than tungsten, and color-stable for life. The ceramic used in the SIRIUS is engineered specifically for jewelry. It won't fade in sunlight, won't pick up scratches the way coated rings do, and stays glossy with nothing more than a wipe-down.
Ceramic is highly scratch-resistant but brittle under sharp impact. Drop it on tile and it can chip or crack. The upside in an emergency: ceramic rings can be cracked off the finger quickly using standard ER tools.

Comfort-fit rings typically size a half-size smaller than standard-fit rings, so if you normally wear a size 10 standard-fit, you'll likely wear a 9.5 in the SIRIUS.
